“Here in Braies, we are surrounded by pristine nature, forests and mountains – far from the noise of traffic. Just nearby, the river flows with its continuous sound, a soothing background that brings me back to my childhood. Today, water is an essential and irreplaceable presence in my daily life and a vital natural resource in our production.

Water is one of the earth’s most precious treasures, and it plays a crucial role here as well. The water used at Alpe Pragas comes from nearby springs in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. It is crystal clear, exceptionally pure, and notable for its high mineral content and a pH value of 7.8.

Being close to the source is essential to experiencing its unmistakably pure and light taste. Water guides us along every step of the way to the finished product: from watering the fields,which creates the basis for a rich harvest, to gently washing the ripened fruit and the actual processing stage. We are truly grateful for this irreplaceable resource, as the excellent quality of the water contributes significantly to the refined flavour of our fruit preserves.”
