/1 Limited Edition Nr.01 Strawberry "Senga Sengana"

A fruit specialty made from sun-ripened, hand-picked Senga Sengana strawberries, a little sugar and a dash of lemon juice. This medium-sized, dark red strawberry variety ripens in spring and is characterised by its particularly aromatic flesh. The fruits are carefully sorted, cleaned, and inspected by hand in our manufactory.

Flavour: Exceptionally intense and aromatic, with a characteristic delicate sweetness that highlights the pure, full-bodied essence of the strawberry.

Ingredients - Strawberries "Senga Sengana" (75%), sugar, lemon juice, gelling agent: pectin (from apple)

/2 Limited Edition Nr.03 Apricot - "Vinschger" - Val Venosta

Fruit specialty made from fully ripe, hand-picked apricots of variety „Val Venosta“ from Val Venosta, a little sugar and a dash of lemon juice.

Ingredients - Apricots „Val Venosta“ (75%), sugar, lemon juice, gelling agent: pectin (from apple)

/3 Limited Edition Nr.04 Bilberry & Mountain Pine

 Fruit specialty made from fully ripe, hand-picked bilberries, a little sugar a dash of lemon juice and mountain pine oil.

Ingredients -Bilberries (75%), sugar, lemon juice, mountain pine oil, gelling agent: pectin (from apple).

 


Store unopened in a cool and dry place. 

After opening store in the refrigerator at 4 °C and enjoy within 2 weeks.

Preservability: 24 months from production.

What makes The Original collection so special?

The Original is our signature range – the collection that started it all at Alpe Pragas back in 1997, and one that still shows exactly what we stand for today: generous amounts of fruit, minimal sugar, a low glycaemic index, and nothing but natural ingredients, with no colourants or preservatives whatsoever.



What products will I find in The Original collection?

The Original is our most versatile collection. It brings together fruit preserves, jams, fruits in syrup, syrups and chutneys, giving you the widest choice of flavours and jar sizes across the whole Alpe Pragas range. Whatever your taste, and whatever the occasion, there's a jar to match.

How do I recognise an Alpe Pragas Original?

By its distinctive square jar. This signature shape has accompanied our fruit preserves and fruits in syrup right from the beginning, quietly becoming one of the most recognisable features of our brand.

What's the difference between a fruit preserve and a jam or marmalade?

By definition, a jam may contain no more than 45% fruit, while the term "marmalade" is reserved for products made from citrus fruits. A fruit preserve, on the other hand, contains at least 65% fruit, with considerably less sugar. This means that almost every variety in our The Original collection is, strictly speaking, a fruit preserve rather than a jam.

Does The Original only offer fruit preserves?

Not at all – The Original gives you our biggest choice of fruit preserves, but that's far from the whole story! Our syrups add a fruity twist to refreshing drinks and aperitifs, our fruits in syrup are the perfect match for ice cream and yoghurt, and our chutneys bring something special to savoury dishes too.
