Fruit preserve red currant - Made from delicious currants with a slightly sour note. The currant (Ribes) belongs to the gooseberry family and is a European berry fruit. There is the red currant (Ribes rubrum) and the black currant (Ribes nigrum). The white currant is a cultivated form of the red currant.
