Our currant and gooseberry plants have already been fertilized with compost and soon they’ll be blooming. We’ve weeded our strawberry beds carefully and now tender green leaves are budding.
We’re also tilling our fields for new sowing. By the end of May, we’ll have new raspberry, strawberry, and currant plants in the ground. These freshly-planted strawberries will give us their first fruits 60 days after sowing. We’ll have to wait until next year for raspberries and currants…
